Ross lives in Columbus with his wife, Amy and their three children. He was raised

on a farm in Jennings County and is a 1988 graduate of Jennings County High School.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Economy from Tulane University in New

Orleans, Louisiana, in 1992 and his law degree from the Indiana University School of

Law in Indianapolis in 1994. Ross has been a practicing attorney in Indiana since

1995 and owns and operates his own law firm based in Indianapolis.

Ross is the County Chairman of the Bartholomew County Democratic Party. He a

member of the board for Columbus Youth Baseball and is a long time baseball coach

for the Columbus Parks & Rec. Youth Baseball Program. He is a member of the Legal

Redress Committee of the Columbus Chapter of the N.A.A.C.P. He is also a member of

the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association and the National

Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Suzanne Fortenberry is a working-class Hoosier by choice, small business owner, and candidate for Indiana House District 57. Born and raised on a Louisiana cotton farm, she has spent more than 28 years working at FedEx while building a successful engraving business, and running a volunteer-led non-profit.

Suzanne believes government should put People, Service, and Profit—in that order. She believes elected officials should answer to the people they represent, not corporate donors, which is why she refuses campaign contributions from people she doesn't personally know. She believes corporations should pay their fair share of taxes so the tax burden can be reduced for working Hoosiers and their families.

Suzanne is running to fight for working families, strengthen public education, protect individual freedoms, lower taxes on everyday Hoosiers, and ensure every community has a strong voice at the Statehouse.

Michelle Hennessee Sears was born and raised in Crown Point, IN. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Southern Indiana in 2007 and a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University in 2015. Michelle, her husband, and their respective children moved to Whiteland in 2022 buying their dream home next to Michelle’s sister and her family. Michelle has extensive experience in healthcare and human service fields, starting her own small healthcare business, ACE - Autism Center for Enrichment in 2016. Having grown up in a union family and married to a union carpenter, Michelle believes that strong unions equate to a strong middle class and an economy that works for people.
Michelle is running because as a life long Hoosier, she wants to improve our state for her kids and future generations believing that change needs to happen within our legislature for those positive changes to occur.

I am Carrie Syczylo. I grew up in Shelbyville, Indiana and graduated in the class of 1994. In my senior year of high school, I met my husband, Michael. We met while “cruising” in Franklin, Indiana. We've been cruising together since.

After high school I attended U.S.I. and IUPUI. While taking courses, I worked at Independent Residential Living, advocating and caretaking for adults with physical and mental challenges in a group home facility. My experience advocating and caretaking ignited a layer of empathy that resonates within me today.

Michael and I married in 1996 and have two daughters, Mikayle and Carlie. We began our lives in Greenwood, Indiana but not long after our second daughter was born, we went looking for rural property to build our American dream. We landed ourselves in rural Morgan County where our children attended Monrovia and Connection Academy Public Schools.
